The craftsmanship involved in the creation of these works of art has been passed down from generation to generation. Each family owns a share of olive trees from which these pieces are created. It takes MANY YEARS for an olive tree to be usable in this process. For the Olive Tree farmers, their land, families and olive trees are EVERYTHING. Yet, the recent war has often led to the uprooting of olive tree orchards, the sole source of income for many farmers.

The Olive Tree is an evergreen that has grown in the Holy Land for thousands of years. It has LONG been a symbol of PEACE. Palestine is now sealed off from access to Israel . Those Palestinians who are terrorists ARE NOT the Palestinian Christians. These devout people worship in Bethlehem and Jerusalem . They want nothing but PEACE in the Holy Land, and to be able to continue in the business of Olive Wood Art; their livelihood; (which has suffered greatly due to the drop in “Tourism,”) in order to support their families. The families there are BARELY SURVIVING, due to the current political climate. I think it is wonderful that this website is offering Christian arts and crafts made by the Palestinian people. I support the Palestinians in their struggle, and now I am able to help finacially by puchasing this beautiful artwork, made from the wood of the olive tree. I am saddened by the Jewish occupation in Palestine, but what saddens me even more is that many of my fellow Americans, and fellow Christians have such a blind support for Israel and its violent crimes commited against the Palestinian people. Most American Christians don’t even question, or are not even aware of the war crimes commited by the Israeli government. In the USA, the Jewish lobby is so powerful, and has such a strangle-hold on the media, that most Americans do not even question the one-sided Zionist propaganda which is shown on television 24/7, constantly promoted by radio talkshow hosts, and supported by nearly every American Politician. The Zionist Jewish lobby in the USA tries to paint a very innacurate picure of all the Palestinian people as “evil terrorists” when the truth is that it is the Israeli government who are the REAL terrorist. One good thing is that most of Europe has finally stopped supporting Israel, and, while most of the USA still blindly supports Israel, more and more Americans are finally starting to wake up and realize that they have been supporting the wrong side. It is only a matter of time before all of America finally wakes up and realizes that they have been lied to by the zionist-controlled media and the American politicians. If, and when, enough Americans wake up and protest, the USA just might stop supporting Israel’s theft of Palestinian land – and without US support, Israel is powerless.
